Rapid Prototyping

Rapid Prototyping utilizing CAD solid models, takes virtual designs from CAD or modeling software. The data is sliced into very thin cross section layers and then successive layers are created until the model is complete.

United Industries offers the following Rapid Prototyping Technologies:

• Selective Laser Sintering (SLS): Base materials – thermoplastics, metals, powders
• Stereo-lithography (SLA): Base materials - photo-polymer
• Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM): Base materials – coated paper, plastic, metal
